Description:
Black shell bead belt with two parallel saw-toothed diagonal lines, flanked by three white double outlined white diamonds and 6 short bars at the ends. Wrapped edges and secured ends with extra row of wefts, leather warps twisted. Received by the institution in 1913, collected by Frank G. Speck from a Frenchman who had married a Mohawk woman, he purchased it from an old chief of the Mohawk at Oka.
